Description of Liquitex BASICS Coarse Texture 250Ml

Create a flexible, coarse-grade granular look and feel with this thick acrylic gel. Different size acrylic particles give structure and texture. Dries to a semi-gloss, sand-like finish. Highly flexible and adhesive, will not chip or crack on canvas. Can be used on its own, mixed with color, or overpainted once dry. Apply thickly to create bold 3D effects, or finely to give surface texture. Maintains color adhesion, durability and archival quality.

Messy and Unreliable for Arts and Crafts

Based on our own experience this product made our painting project a complete disaster .The texture was too coarse and uneven, making it difficult to work with. The paint also tended to separate and clump, leaving unsightly lumps on our canvas. The only positive aspect was the price point. Overall, we do not recommend this product for any serious arts and crafts project..

Pros
  • Provides a unique and gritty texture for added interest to artwork.
Cons

I love Liquitex Coarse Medium

This is another order/purchase of Liquitex Coarse Medium. I really enjoy using this medium and many of my painting projects as it gives a fantastic grainy texture and is very easy to use. Just mix it up with color and tada! Works well with all paints as I use a variety of craft paints, Liquitex etc and it works well with craft paint as it thickens it to give such an expensive paint quality. The paint is really smooth too. I highly recommend this product for beginners to professionals.

Pros
  • Maintains ink adhesion, durability and archival quality
Cons
