Description of 250ml Liquitex BASICS Gloss Gel Medium

Thickens fluid/medium body paints, giving more prominent brush and knife marks. Increases surface gloss, color depth and transparency. Slows drying time so you achieve better color blends. Makes your color go further without affecting stability. Maintains paint adhesion, durability and archival quality. Fully intermixable with all Liquitex products - Basics and Professional. Mix as much as you like into acrylic color to create the consistency and transparency you want - the more you add, the more transparent your color will become. Can be thinned by diluting with up to 25% water - distilled water will give best results. Mix with Matte Gel to create a custom satin finish.

Very liquid consistency

I bought everything they had at my local craft store but needed more. The Amazon bottles were the wrong consistency. It really amazed me. It was the consistency of soup.

The hose was defective when painting

Defective hose. I needed it now for a project. things inside? Mediocre at best. The tube lay in the middle of the box of things. Otherwise nothing was damaged. However, the end of this tube was opened and half of the contents were lost.

Basics Medium - Arts, Paintings & Crafts Supplies

I bought Gloss Gel Medium. Up until this summer I had never used Basics Mediums or Basics Acrylics. As for the color, the quality varies from color to color. But this environment is pretty good. It's thick and transparent as mentioned. I've used it with other student quality acrylic paints and it works well. I think in the future I will like matte gel more for its finish but for now the gloss extends my color and goes well with my art. I use it often, about two weeks, and the tube still looks…
