Liquitex always delivers!

Beautiful colors that harmonize so beautifully with each other. I love soft bodied options - filled with pigments with just the right flow. My only criticism is the design of the bottle, which often spits out color right after opening. That's not a ton, but it only got on my hand and countertop from inverting the cap. These colors are worth it!

I love it! good for painting, painting and art supplies

I work a lot with acrylic paints so it's not an unfamiliar material. they are like watercolors with a lot of control. I like it, I've never had luck with watercolor. I really like muted tones, although gray is definitely closer to purple. You get lots of great variations whether you use it neat, dilute it with water or style it.

nice colors, best in painting

I've used them a few times, either to drizzle on while painting or to drip onto a paper plate and top with this paint to paint. These are really beautiful colors not found in their regular line of acrylics. My only wish would be to have a few different sized dropper caps in the box as the drops are too big for the smaller pieces. To fix it myself, I just bought small drippers.

Pros
  • Best in their niche
Cons
  • Not bad but...

High Quality Paints in Beautiful Fall Colors

I bought a set of soft acrylic paints and I love these paints! I'm working on fall art for the show and these colors are perfect. The color is premium, smooth with lots of pigment and applies evenly. I covered part of the canvas with these colors so I added some Liquitex medium to help flow. Very high quality paints, I would buy more if they weren't so expensive.

Interesting muted ink. but the colors are not quite as expected.

I like the muted tones here. I have used some Liquitex inks and consider them some of the best out there. However, muted gray has a very purple hue to it and if you don't use it too often it won't fade. I used half the bottle before turning gray instead of purple. A muted purple only looks pink unless you use a lot of it to get that purple hue. There was no such problem with the other three colors.

  • Painting
Cons

What about the packaging?

I love Liquitex, but I blame them for their wasteful and ridiculous packaging of these colors. Five small bottles in a large and surprisingly heavy box, reinforced to the limit. Throw in cheap postcards that I would never use (straight to recycling) and I was completely disgusted. People from Liquitex - fight against waste and protect our resources! I wanted color, not cardboard. They're not the only color brand I like. This will definitely influence who I choose for my next purchase.
