Great for dying wigs

Great for dying cosplay wigs! I used acrylic ink at a 1:1 ratio of 70% isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol) and the results are phenomenal!

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Small lumps. Suitable for paint

Very opaque. I need something for hand lettering with a brush as other acrylic paints are too thick and just lose color when thinned. I'm giving it 3 stars because it has tons of ink, and I mean TONS of little chunks of paint. When painted, they do not dissolve, and as a result, the letters have texture, not a smooth surface. Very annoying.

Pros
  • Good marks for hold and durability from testers
Cons
  • For old

Wrong item received twice

Tried to order Prussian blue twice and got bronze metallic ink each time, blue ink is GREAT for watercolor painting. Intense colour, bright and evenly diluted, easy to mix with other colours. this is my absolute favorite. Bronze seems great for plastic, resin, or some other harder medium, but it doesn't dilute well enough to be used as a watercolor.

Pros
  • Hands free
Cons
  • Reliability

Thin and light but very waterproof

I was surprised at how thin and fluid this ink is. For some reason I thought acrylic ink would be more viscous compared to something like ink. However, it seems to dry relatively quickly and is impressively water-resistant. This is good if you want to fill or paint over the lines. In terms of darkness and saturation, it comes across as a bit lighter than expected when it dries, which surprised me too. I would probably refrain from using this in refillable cartridge pens.

Pros
  • Like everything before
Cons
  • Expensive

Great for fountain pens and ink wash

Drank a bottle of this during Inktober with quill pens. I also did some lines and washes. It worked great under many layers of watercolor. This is my first choice for ink drawing with pens. Haven't tried it in my Rapidograph pens but I'm sure it will work fine in them. I also bought a set containing raw sienna, burnt sienna, and burnt umber to use with other line art and blurred art. • Crafts and sewing
Cons
  • No performance

Good for resin projects

I like to use acrylic ink in resin because it takes less effort to mix and spread the color than with a simple acrylic pigment from a tube. The more you have to work at dispersing the pigment, the more likely you are to introduce a lot of air bubbles into your mix. So I wanted a pigment with a liquid consistency, and this one fits the bill. It's a bit of a luxury as using acrylic pigments is probably what most people do, but I haven't worked with resin very long and I can do anything to makeโ€ฆ

Too thin for markers, can be used with a brush

I write with different types of markers and I usually don't prefer very thick and not very liquid acrylic ink. I've used Speedball Super pigmented acrylic ink in the past, which was perfect except that a few drops of water had to be added to the ink to adjust viscosity and flow. Liquitex is marketed as anhydrous so this time I tried this brand and was disappointed. The ink is too runny to use with dip pens and the black isn't as dark as a lightly soaked speedball.
