Description of Lisle 65250 Automotive Bearing Packer

Cone diameter is 4-1/2 inch. Forces out old grease and evenly injects fresh grease. Simply place the bearing between the plastic cones, tighten and apply grease through the fitting on the end of the threaded shaft. Country of Origin : China.

Works great with a small AtD.

Easy to use when fitted correctly. Has a large dead volume when packaged, but additional lubrication can usually be used after the bearings are installed. This tool has been around in one form or another for decades and is a great help. Some care is required when installing a bearing, you must ensure that the bearing cone (when used with tapered bearings) faces the tool cone and that it is properly centered. See attached photo. excellent packer - no pollution.

I bought this after reading all the positive reviews and I have to agree. This packer works great without leaving air pockets in the bearing. Like other reviewers, I have hand packed many times, way too many. Took me 15 minutes for a camp and 15 seconds for this packer. Best of all, the lube doesn't get contaminated by the acidic moisture of my hand. When hand packing, I noticed that the grease in the bearing had a white tint because it was absorbing moisture. It works out. It s cheap. It includes stock.

Works well for such an inexpensive tool and seems to hold up. A lot of preparation is required with a grease gun, as the empty center of the race must be filled before grease can flow out. Eliminate the bleeding by first filling the empty space with grease with your fingers, then using the clean residue to fill the cavity inside the part body. This is very economical as you use as much fat as you need and you don't have to fill the entire pan with fat. It also comes in handy when you need to…
