I got this because the kittens ate the clay. You don't eat it, so that's a plus. It smells nice when it's fresh, but that's about it. This works well for the kittens, but the mother pees a lot more and cannot handle the amount she is expelling. It is poorly absorbed and does not eliminate the smell of ammonia. The smell of poop isn't bad as long as she hides it. Corn on the cob doesn't stick or stay sticky and doesn't dry very well leaving everything wet which doesn't help the smell at all.

I use this for my parrot. My bird has a big litter. It turns out to be an ugly mess. The paper seems to illuminate this mess. But the garbage hides an ugly mess and I can use the dustpan to clean all the paper again. That makes life a lot easier. The smell in this litter is a bit strong. I don't care, but for a cat it could be perfect. It emanates without dust. It's lightweight, making it great for moving large bird baths. I buy this over other brands because the price is reasonable.

It looks like kitty litter, but it's nowhere near it. It looked like the packaging had just been changed, but this is a completely different product. Love the price of this litter and that it's made with natural ingredients. When the product arrived I was dying to try it as the current products I use cost four times as much.
