on first use it was difficult to get them to seal but they worked. I tried de-icing on a set without rinsing with water and couldn't get them to reseal. Place the other under warm water to remove the ice and don't reseal. Not worth it, but a good idea.

This item does not work as advertised. When you fill the balls with water the top lid/mold doesn't stay tight enough to prevent splashing and only half of the ball fills with water and the rest of the water is your entire freezer. I threw it straight in the trash.

We don't use a lot of ice in my house but sometimes we use a scoop. I chose the 2" models because they fit easily in the 1 liter jar we use for our everyday water glasses. We used to have round hard plastic molds and the ice was difficult to remove. Silicone makes it easy to remove. Built-in funnel makes filling easier. I like clear tops so you can see how much to fill. So far I've filled each bowl 2 or 3 times and haven't had any leakage issues.

No clogging. As you start filling the "balls" the water will begin to flow down the sides. You can watch the water level drop. lame! And it gets worse when you try to pick them up to move them. water is everywhere. You can maybe get 1/2 scoop of ice cream from these things. And since there was water everywhere when you put them in the freezer, there are chunks of ice everywhere when you try to open them.
