APPLICATION: Industrial grade, efficient thermal conduction for HVAC systems, AC units, heaters, vents, metal finishing, electronics, automotive, aerospace, recreational vehicle, construction, industrial/home air duct, kitchen masking to avoid oil in gap, sealing, seaming, heat shielding, harness wrapping, joining, vibration damping, electroplating, plastic protection, milling, paint stripping and so on. FEATURE: Supreme performance on resistance of flame, vapor, moisture, ultraviolet (UV), weather, cold, heat, oil, smoke and etc with strong butyl Acrylic coated adhesive and extra thickness of foil (5.9 Mil). LLPT Aluminum Foil stays high stability and strength for long life support, great efficiency on cooling and heating with operational temperature from -30ยฐC to 260ยฐC. Great Stuff: Adhesives, Sealants, and Lubricants

So if you have an HVAC unit that was built when they were mass producing luxury homes and selling at top prices, or if you've been dwindling or over the course a misalignment over time or a gap that has never properly closed, this material is perfect. It's easy to cut, peel off the backing and place. I don't know if closing some of the gaps and gaps will do anything noticeable, but this stuff is very easy to work with and it won't hurt.

"Good Stuff " for Adhesives, Sealants, and Lubricants

Buy this material for HVAC or DIY supplies. I wasted money going to Lowe's to buy a roll of this type of metal foil tape. Too thin and PITA to take off paper. This LLPT tape is industrial strength and thickness. The paper backing comes off better, but not perfectly. There is foil tape without a paper backing (and that's what I used), but it's a little less thick. Again, buying this LLPT metal foil tape is probably your best option.

An excellent ribbon for applications that do not require a certification mark.

Excellent adhesion. I haven't compared the specs, but it feels thicker than most other aluminum foil tapes I've used in the past. Please note that this tape does not contain any specification or certification. Unmarked, this band does not normally pass inspection in most municipalities. That being said, I love this tape and when doing temporary repairs that can't be verified, I go for it first.

No better on a boat

We live on our sailboat and always have these things in our "supply" kit in case the hatches above leak. It happened over our galley and we were busy steering the boat and didn't want to stop anywhere and change hatches. We used this material and covered the entire edge of the manhole. This quick decision took two years! In fact, it was still going strong despite being under full UV sunlight (in Mexico) when we pulled it out to finally get to that hatch. Excellent stuff.
