Only 16 feet 4 inches. But a good product.

Great product but unfortunately it was only 16ft 4in and not 20ft. Failed to wrap entire window for my client. A short change in length cost me 5 times as much. Had it been 20ft as described, it would have been 5 stars. But that confused me a lot.

Pros
  • EASY TO USE: : LLPT aluminum butyl sealing tape provides easy molding and instant adhesion to object surface; First clean and dry the surface for better adhesion, then loosen the butyl tape in the places you want to seal, applying reasonable pressure to the entire tape; The best setting temperature is around 10 degrees Celsius, too low will make the tape stiffer which may take a bit longer to form.
Cons
  • Faulty

fail. Spend a few bucks more on something else.

The butyl used is fairly cheap. As it gets warmer it gets really sloppy and sticky. As a result, the tape slips when laid horizontally! The band is thick but not metallic (?!?). Feels like plastic but with a metallic vacuum applied to it (like chrome plating on plastic parts)

Pros
  • WORKING PATTERN: LLPT Butyl Sealing Tape is suitable for use on brick, concrete, glass, fiberglass, wood, coated or uncoated metal, plastic, rubber in tight corners, odd curves, uneven and irregular surfaces; Reliably shut off wind, water, dust, oil, grease, steam, moisture and other leakage; Never use this tape directly on wet and greasy objects that may damage the connection. Please read the listing articles before applying for a professional sealing job.
Cons
  • Protection

Heavy construction, looks like it has lots of butyl sealant, easy to use

Easy to use and apply. Stretch to the desired length, the carpet knife cuts the film off the side. Remove enough plastic (3-4 inches) from the face to expose the butyl rubber THEN apply to the surface to seal. Peel off the plastic and flatten/shape the tape as you move across the surface. The length of the tape until it is ready for immediate application. It sticks to itself, to you, and to everything else (chewing gum on a shoe). Yes, it is sticky and disposable.

Pros
  • FEATURES: LLPT Aluminum Butyl Tape is made of synthetic compound rubber coated with laminated aluminum foil instead of a bituminous version to not dry, not to withstand harsh conditions and extreme temperature. It features easy installation, shaping, shaping, cushioning properties, no pollution, airtight sealing, waterproof, aging resistance, weather resistance, UV resistance, and high viscosity. Unlike bitumen based sealing tape which does not apply well at low temperatures and ages faster outdoors.
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
