Description of ๐Ÿ“Ÿ LM YN Digital AC Voltmeter: Accurate Voltage and Frequency Testing with LCD Display - 2 in 1 Meter Tester

2 in 1 meter which can measure AC voltage and frequency simultaneously, with potentiometer for frequency calibration, turn the screw clockwise to increase frequency and turn the screw anticlockwise to reduce the frequency. It can directly connect two wires to the tested voltage to measure voltage and frequency without power supply. It is for testing AC 80V to 300V with high accuracy and high working efficiency of 2 times/s measuring speed. Only suitable for AC45-65Hz mains supply,This voltmeter is designed using the principle of capacitor step-down. Because the higher the frequency, the smaller the impedance of the capacitor, so it is not suitable for high-frequency electronic speed regulation, unconventional AC sine wave frequencies, or other high-frequency equipment. Otherwise, it may appear inaccurate test or damaged voltmeter. Two wires direct connection, standard installation size, can work under extreme environmental condition.

Can be difficult to read in bright conditions otherwise OK

There are many voltmeters in my project and this one compares well with them. To check the frequency I temporarily connected it to the house voltage and got 60 Hz. Used to control the generator speed under different loads.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Faulty

Frequency reading is useless

wanted to see voltage and frequency. The voltage part is pretty accurate, but the frequency part usually shows "1" instead of the actual frequency. Sometimes the frequency is displayed, but not for long. Buy one that is better quality than this one.

Pros
  • GOLS certificate
Cons
  • Low maintainability

Very satisfied. for electrics

Bought to test what's coming out of my backup generator. Out of the box it is top notch in both voltage and frequency. The voltage matches my calibrated Simpson 260 and when plugged in it registers 60.0 Hz. There was no warm-up time (contrary to some other manufacturer's gauge reviews) and it didn't drift at all in 48 hours of use.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not the best

Great Meter - Testers

Bought to measure the frequency of my backup generator. I live on a ranch and the power goes out all the time. I have found that my alternator frequency is around 60.5Hz at light load and around 59Hz at full load. I find that very reassuring. I connected the meter when I had AC power and it ran stable at 60.0Hz. Good calibration check.

Pros
  • handy item
Cons
  • questionable purchase for the elderly

Perfect for my needs.

Exactly what I want. I bought it to keep my propane backup generator running during a power outage. I have a modest (4kW) generator to power basic functions and it is important to know that the generator can handle starting an induction motor and whether the generator can maintain the appropriate frequency and output voltage for fluctuating demands.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Protection

Use it to control generator power.

After reading the reviews I bought this gauge to monitor the power output of my old Honda alternator. As mentioned in other reviews, I had to build/adapt a junction box to accommodate the meter and electrical connections. Now I can connect this gauge to the spider box and control the generator output from my living room. (Yes, I'm Edison in Southern California, so we regularly lose power in the summer.)

Pros
  • Still happy
Cons
  • Zero

THE BEST YOU CAN GET! on Voltage Meter

This is the BEST AC Voltage/Frequency Meter you can buy from Revain. Well designed, easy to connect - only two wires to the source (120VAC) and EXTREMELY ACCURATE - excellent calibration - right on the nose! Matches my expensive Fluke true RMS multimeter with an accuracy of 0.1%! Remember that this is an AC voltmeter calibrated to mean RMS value, so it is absolutely accurate on sinusoidal (sinusoidal) signals such as those from your utility. However, it can be inaccurate by a few percent whenโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Ideal for a small home
Cons
  • Something different

Inaccurate voltage on Pure Sign inverter

I bought this specifically for the frequency monitor which works great and showed my 60hz inverter outputting 50hz. This was later verified with another device - the frequency measurement between two meters differed by 0.2 Hz - negligible in this price range. Unfortunately, the voltage measurement is deactivated at 15 volts. Several other counters report 115-117v. This meter reports 98 to 100V. I haven't tried using a mains powered meter - just hooked it up to a supposedly pure sine waveโ€ฆ

Pros
  • cool product

  • Some little things
