We use it to store a spare key when traveling. The magnets are strongly and securely attached to our tow hitch under our vehicle. We have a key fob for the 2017 Ford Explorer and the key fits perfectly, fitting snugly into the foam that is provided.

SUPER strong magnets! Be careful not to pinch your fingers between the box and metal. No joke. The fact is that this thing is very reliable and does not fall out of your frame. Looks durable and weather resistant. However, there isn't much room if you want to put your FOB in a Faraday bag.

4 months of driving in the rain, snowstorms and just in case still under my car, great product, I don't know if it's dry, I use it only for the key. I base my reviews on actual usage. I would recommend this product. But make sure it's on a good metal surface with a solid connection and not a piece of metal but a piece of aluminum. Both magnets require metal for this to work properly.

Box looks high quality and durable. Unfortunately it was too small for my Toyota Tacoma key, defeating the purpose of the box. I cut off the tip of my key and it fits. If I have to use this key as a master key, I'll have to re-glue the top with superglue. Not perfect, but I can get it to work without too much trouble.

Bought this on a whim thinking it would be a good precaution against losing my keys as I travel a lot. First outing. Used it when I couldn't find the keys and had to venture out to meet people. Later found the "lost" keys. They slid under the seat cushion. I hid it under my truck on a frame rail next to the spare tire. The magnet is strong enough, the box didn't move. Only time will tell but my first impression of this safe is positive. The magnets are VERY strong, you won't lose them on rough roads etc. So strong that some surfaces are difficult to remove! key point? I can put my whole bunch of 4-5 keys in this box and still have space.
