Expensive but worth it

This is not an entry level lock ring wrench. This is a high quality professional tool that can be seen in any good bike shop. Unless you have a well stocked workbench and a few years of cycling experience, this tool is probably more than what you need.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • There are caveats

Well made snap ring removal tool

Tool for easy bottom bracket removal. The only reason it didn't get a 5/5 was that it was a little more expensive than I thought was reasonable. Verdict: It does what it's designed to do and does it well. This is a very specific tool, so companies can charge more since the competition for specialty tools is not that high.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • So so

Compatible with Bafang: Bike Tools and Maintenance

If you are installing a Bafang mid-drive motor, you will need to tighten the bottom bracket retaining ring. This thing works. Yes it's not perfect, I would have liked a socket to be able to use a torque wrench, but on the other hand this tool has its advantages. It's often said that after the first hundred miles you need to re-tighten the lock ring and if you don't want to remove the pedals to use the bushing you can use that.

Pros
  • Easy to Read Control Panel
Cons
  • The list will be long.

Excellent professional tool

On bicycles you will find locking rings on steering columns and bottom brackets. This tool is suitable for both. Eldi used to make an adjustable snap ring wrench, but it required two hands to fit and was awkward to use. Var have made some bottom bracket snap ring pliers that fit 2, 4 or 6 cut snap rings. Unfortunately, some headsets have 3 notches. Although called a carriage tool, this tool is suitable for both a carriage and a typeface. Without them, the only way to tighten the snap rings is…

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Compatibility

A must-have tool for your old notch writing / for your old Enkosh game

Some older headsets have notches, their snap rings have 3 notches like a BB snap ring. On the one hand this tool is designed for BB, on the other (smaller) there are now (fortunately) very rare geared headset retaining rings that cannot be removed or installed without such a tool. Looks like Hozan is the latest vendor to offer this. By the way, very good Japanese quality. Impossible l'enlever avec une clΓ© de 32 or 33, il vous faut une clΓ© pour boitier de pΓ©dalier justement mais Γ§a ne fonctionne

Pros
  • Alright!
Cons
  • Very Expensive
