They're on fire - kitchen and dining room

When cooking on the stove, you mustn't hold your hand. Both smoldered, and had it not been for the flame retardant embedded in them, one would have caught fire instead of the orange embers and smoke produced by their use. The burner was not on high heat and the holder was not exposed to the flame or heating element. Leeds need to develop a holder that can be left in the pan during cooking to keep the pan in place.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Mostly good, but...

Disappointing drop in quality

I used to buy these for cast iron pans and this is the first set that was different. They're thinner than before and just too thin to hold a pan without burning your hands. Lodge, if you are reading this, please give them back the original materials and production process! They are decorative but useless, in fact they border on dangerous as someone could drop the pan if the heat seeps through the fabric.

Pros
  • Absolute legend
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Helps - Kitchen & Table Linen

I don't leave it unattended but it really helps, the handles are very HOT! lets me do what i need with my cast iron pans, i've seen some reviews saying they burned a bit, you need to use every oven mitt properly or you screw up.

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Long time

This is what you want/need

I've tried several other cast iron pan protectors. Save yourself the trouble of going through all that and just get this one. Silicone shields are particularly lousy, but this thing works great. Of course, do not leave it in the oven or on the fire. If you do, you probably shouldn't be using fire.

Pros
  • There's something to it
Cons
  • A little wrinkled

Feel the burn on pot holders and oven mitts

I have a set of black and white striped and red and white striped pencil holders and they are great. They're thick and well insulated, but not of the same quality. They are very thin and I immediately felt intense heat through them as soon as I took the pan of roast potatoes out of the oven. I could use them for stove top cooking but not for getting hot pans out of the oven.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Something else
