A good tool for flaring brake lines

This flaring tool works well with some 1/4 inch diameter soft copper tubing. You need to extend the tube a little beyond the surface of the tool, then tighten the clamp screws, and then screw the flare cone into the bore of the tube to form the flare. very easy to use.

Mandatory for mechanics

I bought this for my tool box. I'm going to school to do my A&P license. Used something similar at school and it worked fine

Pros

Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Fine detail quality

The smallest flare adapter pin was bent on first use. I fixed it as best I could and hopefully it did its job well enough. I used it for 3/16 rows.

Pros
  • Brake Lines
Cons
  • Something different

Good value for money: Brake System

Easy to use (no instructions but intuitive) and able to work with lines from the smallest to 5/8 inch. The tool is well made, heavy and looks good. It should stand up to amateur or even professional use. Great addition to your tool box.

  • Automotive

Good tool for expanding brake lines

This tool worked well with some 1/4" soft copper tubing. You will need to extend the tubing a little past the surface of the tool, then tighten the clamp screws and then the Screw flare cone into the bore of the pipe to form the flare, very easy to use.
