I was looking for something similar to apply body lotion, sunscreen or anti-itch cream (when my bra clasp itches). I even tried making one out of a Chinese bamboo back scratcher. And here's the answer all the time. I've noticed that some have suggested changing the configuration of the grip pad, but I think this is the one for maximum portability.

After my shoulder surgery I had trouble accessing my middle back which dries out my skin in winter. This is a great product apart from the shape of the wooden handle which would be more comfortable if it was wide where it is thin and thin where it is wide.

Overall this product does what I bought it for. The slight curve of the handle makes it easier to apply the lotion anywhere on the back. I apply the lotion to my head and I have no problem with it sliding off before I can apply it to my back. The head is about the size of a palm, so it covers an area fairly quickly. The only thing I don't like is that the head sounds and feels like styrofoam - I wouldn't call it a soothing sensory experience when applying lotion, but it's effective.

Product arrived in a reasonable time and works exactly as advertised. I swim a lot in the summer and get sunburned every now and then, this helped me rub the lotion into all the hard to reach places like between the shoulder blades. Cleaning can be an issue, especially when treating an infection, as the head material is a pillow-like material somewhat resembling styrofoam. When I unpacked the applicator from the shipping box, I noticed a depression in the middle of the foam pad on the side where the lotion could be applied.
