Fine Faraday cage to protect electronics

This aluminum foil wraps around the outside of a box or aligns it inside to create a strong and effective Faraday cage to protect electronics from EMI or sunlight form. Damage.

Windshields to run

In fact, it is a heavy-duty aluminum foil. It appears to be used for embossing, but can have many other uses as well. I use it to make windbreaks for camping stoves. Much cheaper than store bought ones (less than $2 each) and they're just as easy to fold. It cuts well with utility scissors, I've used a hole punch with no problems.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • unreliable

Great as a template

I used this as a template to replace a hob that didn't fit. There was a gap around the hob that had to be filled for aesthetic reasons and also because food could fall off the sides. I used foil to shape what I had the locksmith make out of heavier gauge stainless steel. The locksmith didn't have to call home, he just had to make stainless steel, which I made out of strong foil. Foil was perfect for this purpose.

Pros
  • Kraft
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than others

Since I paint many of my embossed parts with multiple coats of different specialty acrylic paints, I'm increasingly using a silver (unpainted) roller. The most important thing to know about silver is that it is the best buy of all the colors as it is 36 gauge and the colors are 38 gauge. DON'T GET CONFUSED - THE LOWER THE…

Ideal solution for RF shielding in phone cases, fanny packs etc.

I made this into a quadruple aluminum radiation shield for my fanny pack after selling my Canon DSLR gear and using the latest iPhone for photo and video . Call me a tin-hat maniac, but a report of a salesman holding a phone in his lap and developing testicular cancer made me play it safe. Aluminum is a very effective RF shield - just don't wrap your phone in it unless you want to block all calls. But as a shield between the body and the phone, it works well and skips calls.

Pros
  • paper
Cons
  • boring packaging
