Works as advertised

I use this switch as an isolator between the solar panels on the roof of my RV and the solar charge controller. Disconnects both positive and negative wires as required by the code.

Pros
  • Can be conveniently mounted on a DIN rail, DIN rail not included
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Excellent solar switch

To be used as a solar disconnect switch for two 100 watt modules between modules and solar charge controller. It is used to cut off the incoming power supply when I need to service the battery. Works well so far, checked the open circuit voltage of the panels before connecting to the switch and it was 42.8 volts. Tested again, connected to the switch many times and got the same voltage reading of 42.8 volts. So there is no voltage drop when using this. The only time I would want this switch to…

Great product!: Circuit breaker

This is an uncompensated comment. The quality of this product is obvious, the weight and action of the jackhammer are good indicators. A fairly strong push/pull force is required to open or close the contacts. Make sure you have a good anchor point. The clamps are heavy duty and hold the cable(s) very firmly, don't use too much wire and you'll get a solid, solid connection. Performance is excellent, on a normal sunny day my powerwall can generate over 60 amps especially during peak hours, I…
