This is an improvement over the old factory part. There is now a thumbscrew to adjust tilting resistance/tension. The old ones didn't have it, so the display leaned with every hit after experimenting a bit behind the belt because it was too loose.

I bought a mount to mount the Elite 7 TI on my desk (to learn how it works) when I'm not on the boat. I combined it with a Pyramid PS9KX 5A/7A power supply. Very useful for entering coordinates, if only Lowrance would make it easy to take waypoint and route data from Navionics charts on the iPad and pass them to the Elite 7.

Lowrance was a great company with great products but the theometers I bought last year are rubbish, I will not be buying another Lowrance product. The bindings fell apart after my 4th outing. Mon my 3rd set and they are different but still yards drop off the mounts in inclement weather. Garmin Rateon or Hummingbird will be my next investment

I have an Elite 5 DSI and a Mark 4. This mount is great for moving between boats and rotates better than some of the more expensive brands. Stop using proprietary mounts, I could swap my two Lowrances between three boats and until then I'll have to make this mount.
