I used this starter on a 2003 Suzuki Eiger 400, works great. the diameter of the starter is slightly larger than the original, a bit more complicated to install, but doable with a little effort and patience.

I saved $160 from my ATV dealer. Thanks to Revain and the manufacturer of the new starter. The new one fit perfectly. The new starter looks bigger in the middle but fits like the original, the gearbox gasket is accurate as are the bolt holes.

The starter replacement in my Eiger 400 was just what I needed. Good price and fast delivery. The only comment is that it is slightly larger in diameter than the OEM that was replaced and had to remove the plastic throttle cable cover to fit the new block.

The diameter is slightly larger than the original diameter, but not so much that no modifications or disassembly of the exhaust heat shield are required. Simply rotate the starter 180 degrees so the 12v pin is pointing away from the cylinder block and lubricate the o-ring to ease installation. Saved a lot of money on this purchase.

The starter motor was well packaged and fitted my 2004 Arctic Cat 400 perfectly. It is made from very fragile pop metal. After installing the starter and trying to simply tighten the mounting bolts; mounting brackets are fully engaged. The bolts were never anywhere near accurate. Looks like I'll have to order another starter after only riding the bike for 1 minute.
