no Not for a carpenter.

Ribbon does NOT return every 4-5 times after 8-10 minutes of use. He happens to decide just not to get involved. Also, the markings on the 16-inch wheels are weird and hard to see half the time, as they also highlight each foot. Get the fat maximum.

Pros
  • Hands Free Operation
Cons
  • No Instructions

Black color slightly worn

Corresponds to the description. I've been using it for a couple of weeks, not using it every day but still some wear and tear on the black color (above the green). Not too bad but I feel like even coated it still wears a bit. Not too problematic - hopefully not too much in common.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • No.

waste of money believe me!

It was sometimes confusing when it rusted quickly for me and the blade wore out within a month of constant use. That's why I'm giving one star here. no features or fancy things work if you can't read roulette in a month! Totally dissatisfied and definitely not worth buying

Pros
  • Absolute legend
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Love black tape, wish case was black

I have 25" tape and need the smaller 16" tape for fine carpentry work. I like it, it's smaller/lighter but just as easy to read. The only catch is that it's really difficult to read measurements under 1 inch. I wish the tape manufacturer had figured out a way to make reading measurements under 1 inch easier. The only downside of this band is that its body is black. I really wish there was bright neon on the case to make it easier to find. I'm thinking of spray painting.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Expandable

The idea with this measuring tape was a good one. Footprints are uncomfortable and the black coating wears off within a month of daily use. I used it for 6 months, used it for about 4 months and one day it just broke my head. Previously I noticed that the band was becoming wavy and in order to lift off they state that about 3ft in the band compresses more and more to make it stiffer and lift off. I would not recommend it.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • I don't remember

2 ordered, both are

Start with - Pros: Looks good, feels good. can get 12 feet before bending when lengthened. Cons: I bought 1 and it was dated 32. Bought a second one and it was the same. Bought a second one as I didn't see any exchange options when returning the first one so thought I'd return the first one and just buy it back as I doubt a big name band would be twice as good. I was wrong. After paying $60 for 2 and both I bought $6 cassettes which unfortunately were easier to read. I really want one of these…

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Long delivery time

I pull out the first tape measure for

I have so many tape measures. I have a yellow, red, silver and even a fancy left/right reading tape measure for professional carpenters. For me, 16 feet is the perfect height. It's light, easy to carry, and on the rare occasions when I actually need to measure a little longer, I use a Bosch rangefinder. So I don't care about some of the features that you might like. I don't care about getting noticed. I usually measure woodwork, things like cabinets, boxes, pole cut length, table saw setup…

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Slightly torn
