Bought this big boy to scrape green dot algae off my 125 display tank and it does a great job with little effort. Only about 10% of the algae had to be scraped off manually, which is much better than the previous magnetic scrapers I've used. In fact, I'll probably buy a few smaller tanks for other tanks, and that should tell you how much I like it. 5 stars and a must for every aquarist.

Our aquarium is in the sun. There's no better place for it, but the sun means ALGAE. It really helps to reduce water changes to keep the aquarium clean. It's easy, just ride over the inside of the tank. It glides smoothly on both sides of the glass. The grip is much nicer than trying to grab the box. The magnet is strong enough to lift up when someone hits it from the outside. I love how little effort it takes to reduce tank maintenance.

Comfortable handle design - better than traditional Magna-Float shape. He removed the algae with a scrubber, but the scraper blade does not replace a regular razor blade, and the scrubber does not float when the scraper is attached. The magnet strength wasn't as great as the Magna float and there didn't seem to be a way to swap out the scrubbing surface. This aquarium scraper is a handy tool for cleaning glass aquarium. I ordered a small size for my experimental 15 gallon natural pond tank that gets overgrown with green algae very quickly.
