ATTENTION: GLOSSY SURFACE! Stable, elegant wall plate.

First things first - I received this in brown and the product I received had a SHINY FINISH. There is no mention of glossy (or actually matte) anywhere on the product page, so that's an important detail. It's not a big issue for me, but the product images give the impression of a matte finish, so I was a bit disappointed. This information needs to be added. The product is a durable, elegant wall panel. Matches perfectly with the Leviton dimmer switch I just installed. The front is removed for…

The stainless steel "sticker " over the black wall paneling looks cheap.

I love the Lutron brand and have purchased many of their dimmers and switches. So I was thrilled to know that they have a "real" stainless steel wall panel with no screws! Remember, it should be the same for Lutron. Unfortunately, this is a largely black Lutron wall panel with a very thin layer of stainless steel glued to the front. Looks very cheap in my opinion and will of course peel off over time. If you are looking for a solid stainless steel look I would look elsewhere.

Why not give your sockets and switches a more refined look?

I love these things! It should be noted that I also tried the Leviton version and they don't offer the same quality and looks as the Lutron. Yes, you will spend a lot more with it than traditional 0.20 cent POS caps, but. Why not? They look so cool and really give your walls a nice finished look, especially on a tiled backsplash. Why not spend a little more and tile the backsplash or paint the wall nicely. Spend money on nice tile or something and high-quality paint, then seal up a crappy exit…

Mind the electrical gap

Lutron's screwless switch panel is rugged. Unfortunately, he has an error due to which he will not start. There is a gap between the back panel that attaches to the switch or outlet and the front panel that you see. This gap breaks clean lines that are the primary goal of a screwless panel. The slot is deep and wide enough to fit a coin (see photo). Dust and dirt accumulate in the gap. The Lutron switch is slightly larger than the Levitron and slightly shinier. Levitron is easier to install and

BIG difference between Lutron and Leviton

Lutron uses 4 bolts for each unit (4 for a set), you can install all units and get them to the correct depth and then attach the liner. Leviton often tries to get by with two screws per device. Look at the photo and you can see oblong slots with a screw underneath. This allows the units to be shifted sideways to accommodate the floor panel while it is being installed. Others don't work that way. Most commonly installed in commercial spaces with a level 5 (flat surface) drywall, these wall…

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Not all will fit

Really good upgrade to regular plates with screws - funny how such a small thing can make a big difference :) It doesn't even cost $4 so it's very affordable to upgrade all your switches. It's easy to install and even though it's only plastic, it fits and snaps snugly and there was no problem fitting and aligning everything. Yes, it comes out a bit more than you're probably used to, but it's actually not that much, and I'm sensitive to little things like that, but it doesn't bother me at all :)

Great product but not the best in my opinion

I recently upgraded all of my wall panels and outlets in my home. I've tried many screwless options. This wall panel hides the screws from your wall panels and looks much better. as the! While many might not care, for me it just gives a better overview of the area. I have several problems with this wall covering. Putting the front cover on the back doesn't really cover the back. There's a slightly "layered" side view where you can see the back, a small gap and then the front, which isn't too…

Nice upgrade to the standard wall plate

This review is for the stainless steel version. The wall plate is available in 8 colors to match or complement any decor. If you've never had one, here are a few tips: 1. This is a two piece wall plate with a backing plate that attaches to the switches AFTER they are installed. There is an ingenious design where each switch's screws are accessible after the base plate has been installed to align them flush with the plate. This is especially important and desirable if you have junction boxes…
