I bought this to use in the kitchen. I'm short and this stool gives me enough height and stability to reach the top shelves. A little bonus is that while I'm looking for a table in my living room, this stool works well for holding my cup of coffee while I read the morning news.

DO NOT USE AS A STEP - DANGEROUS! It's slippery and not durable. The advertised capacity is 300kg, which is not true. I weigh about 145 pounds and didn't like the sound it made when I stood on it. Great for other uses because it's super cute! Plant stands, dog bowl stands, speakers, that kind of thing. Do not use for a child! Not sure! Too slippery.

This small stool was supplied without assembly instructions. On Friday I sent the seller a request for instructions. The instructions finally arrived via email five days later. As it turned out, the pre-drilled holes didn't eject properly, making assembly a lot more difficult than it should have been. Otherwise, now that they are assembled, the stools are sturdy and look as advertised.

Very slippery and came with a red spot on the top that cannot be cleaned. If you want to use this stool, especially on a wooden floor, you need to put non-slip material on the legs. Wood is not recommended for small children. The surface is so slippery that it is dangerous. You need to sand the top and polish with non-slip paint or stain. I give 2 stars because it looks very nice.

Well I ordered my first one which looks like the picture then decided to order another one last week and this one is smaller and the bottom slats are a lot smaller , so that they don't lie flush with each other, the company needs to know that you shouldn't substitute one item for another, which is bad business practice.
