I bought one of these and it worked great. I gave it to my dad when his output jack gave up and bought another one that doesn't stay plugged in and resets my audio settings. I'm buying a third to try again.

My laptop's mic jack stopped working and I didn't have USB headphones but I did have 2 or 3 3.5mm headphones. So instead of buying a new headset, I booted this one up. The best solution. You just plug it in in about 20 seconds (the computer will recognize the hardware) and it's ready to use. Requires no configuration or modification.

I didn't appreciate the volume control because I don't see it (but it's on the laptop). I didn't rate gaming because I don't use it for that. This is a very small profile and comes with a plastic cap to protect it. Ideal for stowing in your laptop bag. It works - don't know why some reviewers had issues.

I've used this a few times. It works perfectly. I have a set of headphones with a microphone that I plug into. As soon as I plugged the USB end into a port on the computer, it was recognized and configured to work. I turn it off when not in use and plug it back in when needed. I use it with the new Logitech webcam. Audio and video work great. Haven't used it for phone calls yet, but I'm sure it will work for that too.

I received this because I work from home and use an old laptop my IT department gave me to use which has separate microphone and headphone jacks. I don't use it for anything other than a phone. I don't know about these connectors but the IT guy told me I need a connector like the one in the picture to make it work. Too bad I didn't buy it sooner, hunched over the laptop for almost 1.5 months and yelling into it was stupid.

I spent most of Friday getting this item to do what I bought it to do (transfer music from Portstudio to my laptop) without Success. Very unpleasant transaction (the first one was sent to the wrong address). I put one star because I couldn't put less!

The audio jack on my laptop is broken (which is common with older laptops. The audio jack always seems to die first). I wanted an easy way to connect headphones. It worked great. It's just plug and play, I didn't have to do any installation on my end. I actually use this on a USB hub. which is connected via USB C port lol. Still works! Sounds wonderful! I've tried it with some of my video games on Steam and I haven't noticed any lag either, which is nice. If your audio jack is broken too, BUY…
