The size of this backpack is ideal for hiking. I was thinking of one of the smaller ones but it has room for first aid, an extra rain sweater, lunch and other small items I wouldn't be able to carry on my 20 year old camel back. Pros: I love all the packs and the pack looked like it would last a long time. I hate to return it but. Cons: The MULE chamber leaks at the top, which Iโ€ฆ
