Part broke in the first week, no replacement found

I thought the idea of this stand was great and was really excited for the first few days. Everything seemed to be going great. Then about 6 days after receiving it, the plastic ring you tighten to hold the tablet to the base broke. This left the stand usable, but barely. The tablet dangles limp on the stand and the only way to change the viewing angle is to prop up the bottom of the tablet, which is a giant PITA. I tried to send a message to the seller asking for a replacement part, but that…

Strong enough to support my iPad Air (4th generation).

I bought this to use my iPad Air (4th gen) in the kitchen. It holds up well and under the rubber caps on the hinges there is access for the included Allen key so you can tighten the hinges as tight as you like. There's a ball joint that snaps into a socket on the back of the tablet's "clamp" with a screw cap that compresses the socket around the pen, allowing you to increase the resistance there enough to set the angle in the direction you want . Poor design in computers and accessories

I've been looking for a long time for a good under cabinet mount so I can look at my phone while cooking and a) take up no space on the table and b) maintain my posture by not slouching have to look below. At first it looked like it would work fine. But when I tried to mount it I found that it took too much space front and back to fit the "stand" part in the bracket part. I figured you could just mount everything under my closet but first you need to attach the bracket and then you can fit…
