Jaws open from 2-1/8" to 4-5/8" (53-118mm) .For most oil filters from small cars and equipment to trucks. Hardened teeth are designed to grip from any angle and classic trigger release designed to provide maximum locking force. Made of heat treated Carbon Steel with nickle plated surface in long durability and anti-rust. This tool is also handy for use with small to large pipes, get good grip when threading onto couplers etc. This tool is extremely valuable when you are removing those stubborn oil or fuel filters.

Great tool but not always useful

First at a Chevy dealer and now used at Midas for about a year. Not always the easiest angle to use, but better than non-locking pliers. Ideal for small and large filters. The angle is sometimes tricky and not always perfect for every filter.

Nice tool for my tool box!

don't know you need it 'til you do! I used this to hold a reel to one of my RV's tents! It worked great and held the spring while we installed the new fabric. I'm sure it will help with installation on your next project too!

Late and short. - Hand Tool

I paid 9.99 to have it here the next day. It was a day later. The description shows it is wide enough to fit around my filter. It's not like this. This wrench's jaws only open 4 inches, not 4 5/8 inches. UPDATE: Revain did the right thing by giving me a refund (item and shipping). This probably saved them from me closing my account and going somewhere else.
