My son has a chest port in his chest. In order for him to continue exercising, we had to find a way to protect the port and his entire chest. This soft breastplate not only protected that area, but also his kidney and abdomen areas.

They are oversized. I'm 5ft 8in, 170lbs and a youth size albeit a slim fit. I wear light contact for hockey but recently got hit on the puck and was looking for some light protection. It looks like it will help. I will edit my rating after the next game.

I bought the youth size after measuring and it fits perfectly. The fabric is flexible and comfortable, allowing you to move freely on the battlefield. The seal works great too! Our fields limit the speed of paintball guns to 285 frames per second, and the pads protected me from the pain of hits. It even resulted in most balls not breaking meaning I was still in the game!

The sleeves come to the elbow, which limits movement. I cut off the sleeves as we bought these more for front and back padding when playing hockey and it will work. It got so big that we put it on our shoulder pads, which made it workable. I realize I'm using it for something it wasn't designed for, but if I bought it for paintball it wouldn't be used for youth. You should name the size Junior.

I use this soft non-contact ice hockey t-shirt for adults over 40 years old. Sometimes there is "accidental" contact with the body - sometimes you can get hit with a hockey stick or shoot a puck. This shirt offers enough protection to deflect those blows in a way that minimizes damage to your body somewhat. In my opinion, this is a good alternative to shoulder pads (if you play in the non-contact league). It's easy to move and doesn't interfere with range of motion like shoulder pads.
