**update**When the batteries came I replaced them, and it worked. So if yours come in, and the buttons don’t work, try replacing the batteries before you return them! Based off of their description it says it will work straight out the box, and batteries last a long time. But I guess not their batteries. They work. But the writing is NOT as bright as the images provided. At 2 for $10 they're fine for kids. Not easily visible in a bright office or used as a shopping list in kitchen, for examples.

Bought this with the anticipation that it would be bright writing as pictured. When writing on the tablet you can barely see the writing. It is not even close to being bright like the picture and is barely visible.

It works as intended. However the writing ("ink”) part of the tablet is very dark, so it’s hard to see what their writing most of the time. May be worth the money to buy a little nicer one that has a backlight or something.

The lock feature is very flimsy and feels like it may break if it is used often. The tablet is very delicate and not child friendly. It is very thin. A great working and affordable device if you include it in a portable game bag where it will be safe and function as a notepad. There was no string for the stylus, but one was made easily with spare string. The holder for the pen has never released the stylus and is not loose.

I work at a place that used to sell the Boogie Board, another LCD writing tablet. Because I have an employee discount, I could buy one for a fairly reasonable price (for a Boogie Board, they were retailed around $40). I'd like it to be brighter, and for the Stylus to be a tiny bit thicker, I got this for my 6yo to draw on, but I don't think he'll use it much because of the dim thin lines, kind of hard to use/see. If it cost more I would have been very disappointed, but for the price, it is what it is.

This works just as good as the other more expensive brands. Happy with the quality and price and so far holding up pretty well.

My granddaughter loves to draw so I got this for her but it is hard to see its not bright enough so she gets bored with it quickly.

Directions for use were on the outside sleeve; more specific directions were on the cover which was confusing at first. Easy to use (once we found all the directions). Like the weight of it, and it works as advertised. The green lines are difficult to see on the black screen.

My kids absolutely love these! Great to take on road trips or out to eat to keep them occupied. Only down side that I found was the pen did not come with any sort of attachment and is easily lost or misplaced with young children. Overall worth the purchase.

Purchased for a 2 year old to keep him busy when not at home to encourage clean and safe writing and drawing. Very lightweight and fits easily in a medium-size ladies purse. Not too worried about it getting ruined because of the price. It helps to store it in a sleeve of its own. Brightness and visibilty could be better. Decent buy overall.

We bought this to help pass the time on a long drive, 14 hours one way. Our kids, 6&9 Enjoyed these writing boards. They weren’t as bright as advertised but that didn’t stop the fun. This helped keep them entertained on our trip. They drew pictures and played games using them. They use them at home now as well. They have enjoyed them and for the purpose we intended them for, they are perfect.

I’ve seen many iterations of the same product. This one is extremely lightweight and has the added benefit of NOT accidentally deleting your notes. That lock feature isn’t available in a lot of other LED writing pads. It also has such a good price. The one thing I would change is the brightness of the screen and writing. But for the price, it’s absolutely worth it!

It's a ok, smaller than it looks in these photos they use to sell. It's thin and light weight. It's ok for the price. My 6 year old likes it.

I have a son who started kindergarten this year, figured this would be greet way to help write his letters. I read a lot of reviews on a lot of these types of things. Some of them said brightness, but it seemed like the reviews recently is that they fixed it. Well that was a mistake. It’s not that bright and even in a well light room you have to squint to see it. Not helpful for any age eyes really.
