When I opened the package there were two pieces of plastic, there was no "curved plate" and what they really meant was a flat piece of strong plastic with some raised circular areas that were part of the mould. This flat piece of plastic is meant to be bent/curved by user power to make it "bent" then put the other end into one of the four "gears".
