We've been doing a lot of home renovations lately and my husband and I need these gloves constantly for cutting boards (floor plumbing), carrying heavy objects and generally protecting our hands from cuts and To protect against scratches and all kinds of dangers. I agree they are a bit small but I'm also not sure if they will stretch over time. I was given size 9 (L). They are quite flexible and can become a bit more flexible with prolonged use, including washing. I found them to offer good grip and control. Update (04/2020): downgrading from 5 to 3 stars; I accidentally ran the secateurs over the back of my index finger and the saw cut straight through. In comparison, according to the ANSI standard, A7 (A9 is the highest) should not be cut with a 4000 g blade (4 kg = 8.8 lb) moving 20 mm above the test surface.
