Best investment I've ever made in toys!

We bought the first set in 2015 when our eldest was almost 7 years old. He is almost 12 now and we have four children in total and all (ALL) still play with them regularly. I bought this set to make up for the loss of years and because we have a child who loves them. Now we're back to the daily game (and arguing about who gets which pieces, LOL).

  • Handsfree
Cons
  • Some problems

Weak magnets, expensive, better options available

Save some money and buy a 130 magblock. They have weak magnets compared to Magblock. I bought them first and then ordered the magblock version. They are compatible, but Magblock far outperforms them in magnet strength with the same corner rivet design. I wish I was new or had seen such a review before ordering. I could still get more and better magnetic tiles for less money.

Great for kids - construction toy

We bought this set to add to the original Magna tiles we bought and it was perfect. While children enjoy original Magna tiles, they can get bored after a while. This set helped spark their desire to play with them again and create even more creative things. Great buy as fakes don't last that long. Although expensive, they are sturdy and can withstand all the throwing and smashing that kids can do.

  • Very good price

Weak magnets, flimsy plastic - nothing lasts

Have bought 3 sets of magnetic tiles so far and this is the worst. The thinnest, thinnest plastic, the weakest magnets. Even a two-storey cube will not survive. Also, the forms provided are useless! Quarter circles don't have an arc that can go through them, so what's the point? This whole set is good for a one year old kid to make 2D shapes. It cannot be used for 3D design at all. The magnetic tile I bought, made in India, is superior to this one and that says a lot. Please do not buy. It's so

Great addition to an existing set or starter set

This set has all the benefits of the 100 piece set plus exciting new (for us at least) details like a spinner, two cars, a door, windows and stairs . Magnatiles are one of my favorite toys for our child who has played with them since he was 3 years old and is now almost 7 years old. All family members, young and old, can play and build with it. We keep our set at the grandparents house as it is so easy for them to clean and store, and we also bring it home on special weekends. This particularโ€ฆ

A cheap version of Magna Tiles.

As a retired educator I am really disappointed with this Magna Tile product. I've spent 45 years in the classroom seeing first hand the importance of play value when children build with these toys. I was thrilled to purchase Magna Tiles and introduce them to my 3 year old grandson. Compared to the Magna tiles I've used in the past, the magnets in these tiles were very weak. In the Metropolis set, the triangular magnets in the "spinner" fell off during rotation due to weak magnets. I haveโ€ฆ

Broken set of super weak magnets (not sure if weak magnets are normal)

Not sure we have a broken set here. Children are very sad that their entire creation crumbles within 2 seconds of trying to touch them. You can't play with it because the magnets are so weak! In fact, even I'm very disappointed because I enjoyed playing with them in the previous set, which is very strong, and I think it might not be a magna tile (although it looks like it). You can't even place a tile vertically without at least two support tiles forming a three-sided box. If Magna tiles areโ€ฆ
