Anyone who thought bending the antennas to fit the box was a good idea should work elsewhere. If I didn't take a trip tomorrow (which I had to start with) I would return it. Also, the cable is too short to even reach the back of my jeep. Very disappointed and would not recommend to anyone.

measured the resonance in the house. I figured the floor space the car offers might make a difference and measured with the antenna on top of the trunk which I will be using. It was wonderful. Arrived as advertised. The PL connector requires an adapter to connect the Yaesu FT60 antenna connector. The bottom magnet base has a wafer-thin, rubbery membrane (where it magnetizes to the metal surface) that can easily crack or deteriorate. Worthy cheap short antenna. If you don't use it in a running machine, everything is fine. The problem is that if you use it in a running car it picks up a bit of interference on the 2m bands. Not a terrible amount, but noticeable. It's still very workable. Good antenna for 40 cm around. I replaced it with the Comet CA-2X4SR which is bigger but better and more expensive. If you need a smaller antenna or don't use it that often in a moving vehicle, that's fine.

Very cheap antenna. I knew this was happening. When I received it here I noticed that the plastic insulator at the base of the antenna was torn. It will most likely tear even more with time/impact. I'll make another one out of nylon or something if that happens. The main disappointment was the high SWR that I saw out of the box. I saw 2.4 to start with 146.7.
