Exactly what I need, a bit pricey for a 3D printed item

I have a mailbox in a brick monument and needed a flag solution for outbound mail. It works great and was easy to install. I'd say it's a little pricey for something that was 3D printed and needed a little cleaning up when I received it. (it still had a lot of plastic "strings" left from the printing process). Otherwise great stuff.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Flimsy

Defective 3D printer

This item is clearly homemade scrap from an inferior 3D printer. Very cheaply made and shabby looking. I imagine it will do the trick as long as it lasts, but the plastic material feels and looks so cheap that I imagine Colorado's intense sun will ruin this material very quickly. I don't think this was made in a real facility anywhere, but in someone's basement or garage.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Refurbished

Ratchet Mailbox NO MORE

I have a brick mailbox so replacing the entire box insert is not an option, it is cemented. It was just what I needed and now I don't have to worry about postmen hating my battered mailbox door. It fits snugly and is easy to install. (The hardest part was removing the existing door, we had to drill a hole through the rivets) This new face fits perfectly and closes like a dream! 10 out of 10 recommend!

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Looks like 3D printed for outdoor decoration

Looks like 3D printed. Not quite typical plastic, there are threads hanging from it. I'm not sure about the quality and for this reason I won't be drilling holes in my mailbox to install it, I will do it with double sided tape or liquid nails. I don't think it's worth the $17 I paid for it. I wasn't expecting anything like the strange material it's made of. I love this concept and hope it works well and holds up in the Florida weather. I will keep updating my review after 3 months

Pros
  • So far satisfied
Cons
  • I'll write later

Innovative product: Mailbox accessories

Checked the mailbox today. I wasn't expecting this to be 3D printed but what an innovative idea! I work for an engineering company that has multiple 3D printers and I understand how long it takes to print them. The cost of the machine plus the hours of printing is worth it in my opinion. What an innovative idea for anyone who doesn't want a traditional post box flag drilled into brick mortar. See photos of the finished product. Think it looks amazing and hope it holds up for the Texas weather…

Pros
  • Hands-free device
Cons
  • Very expensive
