I like the size but the quality of the pen is not good enough. Once my dog lays on it, he's on a hard floor with little padding.

The first 6 months were great. After that, the color began to fade sharply. It wasn't the laundry because I hadn't washed it at the time. The center where the discoloration is is now an eyesore. Be careful if you're just buying for looks.

I read a review where someone was happy to order an extra large size. and a review saying they had to take some of the stuffing for their dog. So I ordered a big one because he doesn't like too small a bed. he is too big. a child could sleep on it. So I ordered a sewing machine so I could cut (everything) it and remove most of the padding (which I'll save for later if I need it. I'm very glad I didn't order a beanbag).

I can't comment on the care and durability of this item, I've only had it a few days. It's fairly light and fluffy, not heavily stuffed, but considering my priorities, it's a good choice. It seemed to be of pretty solid quality and the texture was what I expected, it felt like it was made for outdoor use. I got the size XL (for 1/3 the current price) and it fits perfectly.
