Works as expected: An unpowered USB hub that connects to Micro-USB

If you need to connect multiple devices to a system that uses a Micro-USB connector (like Raspberry Pi Zero or DE10 or older Android phone) is probably the easiest hub to do this. It works out of the box (although with the DE10: make sure the connector isn't configured to pass Ethernet over USB), although don't expect it to deliver enough power for things like WiFi dongles.

Pros
  • Dope ๐Ÿ”ฅ
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Received this as an alternative to the RevainBasics USB hub recommended in an online article on creating a RetroPie emulator with a Pi Zero and NES cart. This works better than the RevainBasics version thanks to fewer cables and a smaller footprint in the NES cart (you'll have to remove the plastic case before installing it in the cart).

  • Ease of use
Cons
  • Functionality

Must have for fiery TV cubes!

So I got this because of my Fire TV Cube. I saw that there was a micro USB port and realized that this USB hub should work. Spring. It works great! This USB hub holds my wireless keyboard transmitter, a USB stick to increase the space on my Fire TV Cube, and can also charge my phone! Now I wish the Firecube had a full-size USB port for a full-size hub, but since there isn't one that helps. So buy a Fire TV Cube, buy that too, and now you have multiple USB inputs !

Pros
  • Pretty impressive

but I like that he has three free ones at the same time.

Supported by Nexus Player. I can't speak for other devices. Now if you plug in a flash drive you might not be able to access the file system, but that's not the hub's fault, it's just that Android is Android. There are ways to get around this with apps. I mainly used it to give my Nexus Player some much needed USB ports. I mainly use it as a direct OTG adapter to connect my keyboard, but I like how it still has three free ports. I can connect a flash drive or portable solid state drive (Samsung

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

I bought this item because of the relatively high rating but I must have gotten a lemon. The overall quality of this cheap plastic product is terrible, the USB inputs are loose, they wiggle up and down like they aren't securely attached to the case. my usb to ethernet adapter doesn't work with this thing because the hub's usb inputs are very poorly designed - my device recognizes the ethernet adapter/port, but if you breathe on the adapter or move it a little, the connection breaks down. lostโ€ฆ

Deducting 2 stars for poor performance and solid USB OTG connector

I gave it a '15. May 2018" seen with 1 star. I have no doubt about the grievances contained therein; There have been many complaints about the quality of products from Hong Kong or other places in China through Hong Kong. Poor documentation and missing current and voltage information. For example, I cannot charge my Samsung Galaxy S8 phone on this hub. Their website (makerpot dot com) is of little help. My device arrived in good condition (no loose contacts or other defects). Was it just luckโ€ฆ

  • Sturdy build

  • Not the best

Great for use with DE 10 NANO

I would like this USB hub to be useful with DE 10 Nano for use in MiSTer FPGA console. It's small, cheap and perfect for installing MiSTer. If you fold the plastic protection for Mister onto the bottom of the board and use the longer brass standoffs you can place a USB hub on top and secure with double sided tape. Only two downsides, when I later tried to detach the USB hub from the plexiglass I had glued it to, the case fell apart. Not a big deal since he'd only just gotten together, but itโ€ฆ

Perfect solution for charging my Peloton

Use case: I need a USB-A hub to charge my AirPods and heart rate monitor on my Peloton bike. It took me a few months with my Peloton bike (not the original Bike+) to realize that its tablet had a micro USB port that I could use to charge. I charged my AirPods and heart rate monitor from an outlet in a different room, and it was annoying at times when I found myself pinned to the bike and only then realized I had charged one or both of those devices in a different room. That's where this handyโ€ฆ
