nice textures on clay

this is a nice but very thin texture sheet. it is best used with oil or polyclay. Ceramic sticks to it. It flexes a bit but not what I would call flexible as you flex too much it will break, it's as thick as clamshell packaging. I took a picture of everyone, sorry my hand is covered in ink.

Pros
  • Solid construction
Cons
  • For the old

Sand texture looks unnatural

I bought this set specifically for the Sand texture sheet to give my clay a natural grain/texture. However, the texture of the sand has a distinct and obvious repeating pattern, so it doesn't look natural at all. Unfortunately, I never see myself with one of these.

Pros
  • Good for many
Cons
  • boring packaging

Small and Thin in Clays & Doughs

These sheets are small and thin, but they do the job. Leaves pleasant impressions on fondant and gum paste. I wish they were bigger so it would be easier to follow the design, but they serve a purpose. I bought this to have a brick template and you get two other templates in the set and I have already used one so it's good value for money.

Pros
  • Done
Cons
  • Long Wait

They just make my life easier. I use .

They just make my life easier. I use them on my 1/72 scale diorama and they seem to fit perfectly. I use air dried clay, press it into the mold, flatten it with a rolling pin, let it sit for about an hour and peel it off. sculpt and place it in a diorama. Package A I have - it has rocks, cobblestones and such, but I only use rocks and cobblestones.

Pros
  • I hold my fists
Cons
  • Long

Works great with a pasta machine

I bought texture packs A, B, D and E. The product works great when run through a pasta machine. Unfortunately, this doesn't work if you use it as the instructions suggest (roll a clay roller over it). I've tried both sides and it just doesn't work very well! Depending on the set, some design elements are too scattered for smaller works (e.g. snowflakes and stars).

Pros
  • Clay and Dough
Cons
  • Very expensive

Works great with Pasta Maker

I bought texture packs A, B, D and E. The product works great when put through a paste machine. Pros
  • Ceramic and Ceramic
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

I bought these to use as a tool for decorating fondant cakes (similar products listed as "textured fondant mats" are ridiculously expensive and bulky). I had a hard time printing the texture evenly, but maybe they're better for clay. Considering that and as I haven't used them for the purpose they were intended for and just saying they are fine - not exactly what I need but fine nonetheless.

Pros
  • Clays
Cons
  • There are more interesting options.
