Description of Makita 9565CV Powerful Angle Grinder for Optimal Performance

Powerful 13.0 AMP motor delivers more output and variable (2,800 - 10,500) RPM. SJS technology is a mechanical clutch system that helps prevent motor and gear damage by allowing the drive shaft to slip if the wheel is forced to stop. Variable speed control dial enables user to match the speed to the application. Constant speed control automatically applies additional power to the motor to maintain speed under load. Soft start suppresses start-up reaction for smooth start-ups and longer gear life.

Not Worth the Investment

This angle grinder was a letdown. Despite being marketed as high power, it was lacking in strength and efficiency. The design is clunky and not ergonomic. Though it may work for at-home projects, it doesn't meet the demands of industrial and scientific work.

Pros
  • Not many
Cons
  • Not powerful or efficient for industrial use

One of the worst angle grinders I've ever had!

That's one of the few mistakes I make in my life. After almost a month of research. I've decided on this Makita 9565CV 5" SJS model of powerful angle grinder and compared to many of the ones I have this one is absolutely fine. It's very unstable for cutting, too light for polishing metal, for sanding of cement or brick it is unstable and leaves marks no matter how much control you have and yes you can grill any meat upside down after 30 seconds of work Extremely HOT after 10 seconds of work I…

  • Nice to use

Love the variable speed. Quality tool

I've been using 4 1'/2" grinders for about 30 or 40 years. I'm 72 years old. I've always had 10,000 rpm single speed and used 5" discs with it. Mostly i build small boats and use them to shape wood but sometimes metal or concrete. i always thought variable speed would be nice but i have also had porter cable vs 6 grinders for years. i finally threw the money on this makita and it's flat I love it, I often use slower speeds and I'm much less likely to dig further into the woods than I'd like so…
