Junk - Power & Hand Tools

I've been a long time Makita fan and own almost all the tools they sell. This $100 stapler is complete garbage. The depth control is very cheap and the drive depth consistency is terribly unstable if it drives the shackle at all. Most of the time it will NOT clog the strut and the screwdriver will get stuck in the down position and cannot be retracted unless you use a screwdriver. Poor quality stapler

I bought both this and a Senco stapler and did a direct comparison. There was no comparison as Makita missed multiple times and when she fired a double she did so with varying lengths from one to the other. If I couldn't afford the Senco, I would rent a stapler as the best option to own this Makita stapler. One star and I'm returning it today. Quality finishing stapler tool

Just received mine. I am impressed with the quality of this tool. Exactly what I expected from Makita. One reviewer said he found the mainstream magazine unreliable, but I disagree. The magazine is made of impact-resistant plastic. That's right, you have to be careful not to drop the gun or do anything that could cause the extension slide to bend sideways too far when the slide is extended to load staples.
