Review on Makita AT638A Narrow Crown Stapler by Ray Richards

I've been a long time Makita fan and own almost all the tools they sell. This $100 stapler is complete garbage. The depth control is very cheap and the drive depth consistency is terribly unstable if it drives the shackle at all. Most of the time it will NOT clog the strut and the screwdriver will get stuck in the down position and cannot be retracted unless you use a screwdriver. The $23.91 Wen stapler beats it on every count. It drives staples reliably and consistently and even has a viewing window to show the number of staples in the magazine.
