Depending on what you need it for, it's the best out there.

Makita works well so far. We've had this for about 3-4 months. Our soils are a mix of sandy, loamy, chalky soils, whatever, and it's definitely easy on the backs of crew members trying to dig trenches for irrigation lines. Having put it through several of these light machines over the past 15 years, it's definitely not designed for big rocks or mounds of rock found in dirt or tarmac. A jackhammer works best for these purposes. Crews have clear instructions not to attempt to break larger rocksโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Jack drills and hammers
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other picks

Pros
  • Rock Drill Bit

  • Incredible Piggy Bank

It's the right weight for doing real chores around the house and yard, but not a 70-pound beast that'll break you in minutes. It's the right weight for me to use consistently throughout the day. It's also very quiet - my hearing is questionable, but my wife commented on how quiet it was. You could (I emphasizeโ€ฆ
