    Excellent luggage racks: racks for kayaks, canoes and SUPs

    I've had them on my Subaru Outback cross members all summer and still haven't faded. Lots of padding and just long enough for wide paddleboards.

    Good quality product. The outer surface is ideal for gliding.

    Good quality product. The outer surface is ideal for installing the board in the car. Perhaps a future design could have some sort of non-slip material on the inside of the pulley to prevent sideways slipping (which rarely happens when the board is tied tight).

    Just bought another pair

    Just bought a second pair; the first one finally passed this week after 4 years of use. The fabric eventually tore from all the friction. Yes, they shed over time, but I don't care. Actually faded to a light gray that matched my car, so bonus! My crossbars are oval. The pads fit, but I had to use black zip ties on each end to really secure them. That's why I gave them 4 stars.

    you are good Wrong with flat bars.

    The pads are good, they do what they should; Pad my Vibe Sea Ghost 130 kayak. However, if you have flat bars like mine, the pads don't fit as well. The front pad always turns with wind resistance when I'm not moving the kayak which looks like a mess. However, it works well for its intended purpose and will probably work best with round bars.

    They worked great when installed over a horizontal steel bumper with a 2 " x 2 " square profile.

    They work great when mounted to a 2" x 2" square profile steel horizontal bumper that attaches to a T-bar is what creates an amazing effect together with the Thule roof rack system View over the cab of the truck. Installation of a canoe bed holder. The perfect amount of heavy windbreak padding to ensure adequate and secure cushioning on the sides of the canoe.
