Wired directly to my stationary external propane tank. With the tank empty, I zeroed it and fixed it with contact putty. When the tank was full, it was registered as full. If I watch it weekly, I might not run out next time.

Installs in seconds and accurately measures the propane in your tank. I bought this item to replace an identical pressure gauge that broke while being filled up by the gas station attendant. They work as advertised. I don't know if there is a better sensor.

Designed for a horizontal tank, this magnetic pressure gauge snaps onto an octagonal fitting approximately 1" in diameter that is mounted just above halfway to the bottom. If your tank is not level and doesn't have that octagonal connector, then this sensor isn't for you. Much luck

The tank has a port (with an internal float model on the end) that protrudes next to the fill port. The sensor snaps onto the end of this connector. On the empty tank, turn the gauge until the needle was empty and snap it into place.

Easy gas gauge replacement. It just snaps into place, but the design is very small to really hold it securely. I was afraid it might come loose when driving on rough roads etc so I taped it up so I wouldn't lose it if it came loose.

Bought the wrong product because it was cheaper. This is a 270 degree turn, mine is only 90 degrees. It doesn't work properly, but it's worth half the price. Had to send it back and pay double for the correct one. None of them should exceed $5.

This is a 5 star product but it is intended for horizontal tanks that already have an internal magnetic sensor installed. It simply snaps onto the hex brass connector on the side of the tank. Giving it bad marks because it only does what it says it does (check the dial next to the 1/4 mark) makes no sense at all. Definitive. good product and good value for money. UPDATE ALMOST A YEAR LATER: Still an easy 5 star product!
