Might be worth it

I've been using Manfrotto's RC0 mount for a long time, but discovered this hidden version a little over a year ago. Once with the original non-flush panel on my camera, I placed it on the table. I forgot it had a mounting plate on it and it immediately tipped over and fell onto the tiled floor. Canon lens and camera repairs cost hundreds of dollars. This flush version would have saved me my sloppiness because it sits flat when you place the camera on a flat surface. I bought several of these to

If you have a Manfrotto with this design, get some because they are AWESOME!

I bought a used Manfrotto tripod without quick couplers and it was the first replacement I bought. I was won over by the flat seat, in contrast to the factory version with a large nut at the bottom. Well built, strong and inexpensive! I don't see an option to use others on my expensive Sony professional camcorder. I bought the factory version but it comes in a case and I will be ordering more and keeping this on my tripod for "temporary" or quick use of other cameras. I can't imagine what…

This hex plate fits perfectly on my 20 year old Bogen 3063 hydraulic head. Unlike the old plate, this plate is bare metal resulting in a noticeably different feeling when you insert the plate into the receiver and cam lock and release. The (old) painted version has less friction on the head and doesn't require precise placement. Just slam it and it stays safe. Not a big deal, but I noticed the difference.
