Marathon 15X6 50 6 Pneumatic Filled Bushing Review

I bought 2 of these for a Cub Cadet LTX 1045 self propelled lawn mower. They came with metal bushings instead of bearings which I was very pleased about. I read many reviews about bearings being cheap and short lived. I prefer bushings anyway, but they also have grease fittings to lubricate the bushings. Good tires but they are NOT 15 inches. to experience the faults that others describe. I like these tires for the price they are pretty good but the description is wrong. They're labeled 15-inch tires on the wiring and on the tire itself, but these are 'creatively rebranded' 13-inch marathon tires. I've attached a photo of a 13" marathon tire next to one of those 15" tires - I bet you can't tell which is which (the right one is a 15" tire).

If you were hoping it would fit on the front of your MTD mower, keep looking. Same tire size but zero offset. This will place the tire in the steering knuckle when mounted. It's a good wheelbarrow tire if you can fit it. I was amazed in the reviews about bearing wear. I didn't have them; Bushings are pressed in as shown. A fun feature is an oiler that comes with two lock washers so it can be tightened. This hole ends with the wall of the socket. So when fat is pumped in, it stops there. The…
