Not as sealed and protected as expected

I wanted a kitchen timer with a protective membrane-like coating to prevent dirt from my child's fingers getting onto the knobs. Do you know that in some fast food restaurants all the keys on the computer keyboard are covered with a special coating? This timer *looked* like this design, but sadly it's just a regular kitchen timer. I'll keep it because it's ok, but if you're looking for a timer that can easily erase your face and buttons and easily remove all the food from the front, then this…

workhorse. Functional and durable. Batteries seem to last forever.

I have had two of these for over two years and they still work great with the original batteries fitted. I threw them on concrete, in pans, on floors and countertops and they just wouldn't go away. They're only marginally quieter than my loudest full-size timer, but definitely louder than the coin cell timers I've had. I keep them in a fume hood where they are exposed to heat, smoke and steam. Other timers I've had have the LCD blacken when exposed to heat, but I haven't had this problem with…

Great, simple timer (and easily modifiable so the beep is barely audible)

Works very well. volume down. I loosened the four tiny screws on the back of the case, removed the back of the case and used fine tweezers to push cotton balls into the hole in the speaker until the sound reached the desired level. (There's also a hole in the outer case, but it was more efficient to stuff the batting into the speaker itself. Fine tweezers can be used to remove the batting if you applied too much.) I made the change at my own risk. but it worked.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Doesn't go with everything

Good timer with one big design flaw

For the most part I like this timer. The buttons are large and comfortable, the sound is loud enough (audible for four children) but not annoying, the magnet is strong - it doesn't slip. Although there is a design flaw. It has a clip on the back and a timer that tells me when I press the stop/start button. Many times I have accidentally knocked the timer off the magnetic surface if I wasn't paying attention to how much force I was using to stop/start the timer. Who remembers to always be…

WOW! I'm really impressed - it was a great purchase for my needs. Loss of Sight at 62 It was becoming very difficult for me to read the small digital timer I bought from Dollar Tree about 6 months ago. After carefully researching Revain, I chose this product for its easy readability, looks, and great reviews. OK - here is some information that might be helpful depending on your personal preferences: a) The overall dimensions of the device are exactly 7cm x 7cm square and 1.5cm thick. C)…

nice and noisy alarm clock but bad design on the spring clip now broken

the timer works fine but the magnetic spring clip on the back is poorly designed. For example, if you use this on a fridge with a magnet, the timer will stick to the fridge by default, but it will be unstable. So when you activate him (by pressing the buttons) you have to use one to stabilize him and press the buttons with the other hand. Designed or constructed slightly differently, this is not a problem. It is possible to operate the timer with one hand if you have very good dexterity, but…

A good little timer for the price. Unfortunately it arrived in a package with the rear clip visible and the clip broken. I'm not sure if I can fix it. The timer itself is nice and loud, and the buttons are big. Readings are clear and large enough to be seen. It would be nice if it didn't beep every time you press the buttons, but I think all timers do, so I'm not getting my hopes up. I need this for a meeting being held in a very large room with lots of sound absorbing padding so most timers…
