The engine died after 3 months.

I've used this pump fairly regularly (20+ hours of use per week) at home (West Coast crab bladder box). Over time it slowly lost air pressure until today without further stops it could not push any air through the hose at all. I spent a few hours diagnosing it and all I could see was that the engine had failed; no amount of grease on the axle or oil in the motor could fix it. I have a standard marine metal air bladder box that still works after a year, even with constant spray and rust on the…

Love that about aquarium pumps and filters

I used Duracell batteries. It uses 2 so I bought 4 to have a backup. I've used it twice, once tossed it in water briefly and the other time it was placed on the side of a bucket for 15-20 minutes and I didn't find any water in it when I checked, so it seems pretty waterproof. I kept track of the time and on the first ride the device worked continuously for 25 hours. After 3 days I used it again and it was on within 24 hours. While it's quiet, I've noticed that it got quieter around 37 hours. I…
