MarineLand Activated Chemical Filtration Aquariums Review

I don't like that every time I go to replace these filters the price fluctuates wildly. I never know if it will be cheap or expensive for the same thing. It's already too late because I'm stuck with this filter.

Minimum order quantity is 2 boxes (2 bags of 100g per box). Each bag weighed on an old (dirty) Ohaus Scout SC4010 scale: 98.4, 96.6, 99.2, 99.7, avg 98.5. it's close enough The product photo on the packaging is distributed evenly on a flat surface according to the intended use. The "Not even 1/4 full rip-off" review is weird; It's wrong to keep a 100 gram bag of loose material upright.

I had to use this charcoal in addition to the crappy pet filters sold by several manufacturers who barely use charcoal in their filters. This made their wells clear of slime and clouds. I've also washed the bags and closed them but kept them still damp in ziplock bags and so far nothing bad has grown on them so should be nice and sterile when shipped.

Great product. Excellent price. I use them in my Marineland c-220 canister filter. I first bought loose charcoal to save money. What a mess! I quickly switched back to bags and couldn't be happier. They're sold as add-on items, but if you buy 2 of each (aqueous floss and filter foam) at a time, you hit the $25 threshold, which will last you a couple of months.
