🐧 Marineland PR10078 100-200 Penguin Filter Aquarium Extension Parts Review

I needed an extra extension for my filter because I wanted the hose to go all the way to the bottom of the tank. Don't forget to order the connecting part. I forgot it but I ordered it later to attach to another piece.

This product does not have a smaller end that fits an existing hose. It is the same size at both ends, which matches the size of the filter hose. There is no way to connect it. It would be ideal if one end were a bit narrower so that it could be inserted into the filter tube.

Don't waste your time and money looking for a way to extend your current hose. This is a replacement part only. To make your tube longer you will need some type of coupler which is not included.

Had to buy a replacement for the second time, the last one was bought on 28th October 2014 and it has a small hair silk split on the side of the extension tube, so I have to replace it again. I wish there was thicker tubing or better craftsmanship for this particular piece.

If it's an "extension" you might think you could buy it to connect to the filter part, but there's no way to connect that because you need exactly that. the same width as the pipe you have. You need to buy a fastener and this was not written in the product description. I should have read the reviews because a lot of people complain about it. Also, it didn't come in a box, just a small envelope without much protection, so it's lucky it wasn't torn.
