HOLD this garbage.

These bobby pins are trash. 1 ride in the mud and the studs on my rear tire are 95% worn out. These are not carbide tips, this is a very soft metal that won't last more than 20-30 miles of dirt and mud๐Ÿคฌ๐Ÿคฌ๐Ÿคฌ

Love of Traction: Accessories and Parts

I live at the bottom of a 200 foot decent winding gravel road that stretches a quarter mile in Sitka, Alaska. I'm surfing the road in a four wheel drive vehicle. This year I put chains on the rear wheels and found I couldn't turn with the snow laden plow. I put these spikes on the front wheels and the problem was solved. Plus extra grip on packed snow/ice. Ease of installation. A decent amount of protruding rivets.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Not bad

Great for off-road bikes

They're great for your bumpy off-road bike. You must use new handles and not push them in too far as they could puncture the body. You have to use a lot of pressure when screwing them in and I recommend an impact wrench as it causes less twisting. You'll get comfortable after you've done 1/2 dozen. My rear tire lasted almost 200. I will update this review once I actually mount and ride the tires. I can't imagine them coming out.

  • Price

Good product. A cheap installation tool that has become useless!

These rivets work great. Can they be installed? The tool they provide (wrong tool first time. Had to send it back and order a new one!) It's cheap crap. Tips for twisting hairpins break very easily. Then you are left with 50 rivets and there is no way to install them as the tool is unique and not available anywhere else. I'm asking for a replacement (or two) and was told to order it from China (get it!). They need to be converted to a hex head! The photo shows a hex head and hex tool. You areโ€ฆ

Cheap but flawed tires and wheels

I've had real spikes, Trellborg, Mitas and other similar carbide spikes so I decided to try and compare them. They appear to be identical to the spikes, but the quality isn't nearly as good. They are installed and held in rubber in the same way, but the carbide core breaks. I'm not sure if the solder is loosening or cracking, but the carbide just keeps disappearing. I drove 30 minutes and lost a dozen carbide cores. It was 99% frozen clay with a few inches of snow. There are almost no stones on

Pros
  • Sturdy finish
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

You get what you pay for!

I have been using the original grip studs for over 7 years now. I love the traction they provide in almost all conditions. I stumbled upon this by accident on Revain and was wondering if I overpaid for my grip studs. So I ordered these to add to my rear tire, which already had about 100 1800R hitch studs. When I opened the box it was obvious that they weren't packaged like my spikes in the past, but physically the spikes were very similar. . The only really noticeable differences wereโ€ฆ

Pros
